Facebook 2019 Year in Review Video Rolls Out to Android and iOS

The 2019 Facebook Year in Review video is short-form, like its predecessor, and apparently, no longer fully supported on the web for desktop.

This latest video collage, much like previous memory collections, is part of a continued effort to boost original content broadcasting. Facebook has long struggled with “context collapse.” Or, the phenomenon of people sharing less organic content. Of course, the social network heavily relies on its users to freely share to attract ad dollars from brands.

Back in August of 2017, Facebook announced it would serve more memory collages. And, the social giant has done precisely that.

These collections have proven popular with users but only for certain time periods. Seasonal memory collages are the most shared, while user share monthly memories less. The most engaged to date is the Facebook Good Ads Up video, released in June of 2017.
