Facebook rolls out new features for FIFA World Cup 2018

Facebook is rolling out a number of features related to the FIFA World Cup 2018.

The company has launched new features across its platform and Messenger app. These include:

  • Team colours – Fans may update their profile frame with a football team frame of their choice.
  • Post and comment animations – Users will be able to celebrate teams by using certain highlighted phrases in News Feed, which will then be animated.
  • Camera effects – The camera in the Messenger and Facebook apps will support AR effects related to the World Cup, including face paint and player stickers.

Facebook has also updated its “keepie-uppie” game on Messenger to feature World-Cup themed interactions.
